Job Description:

Old Dominion Mechanical is currently seeking an energetic, customer-centric individual with keen attention to detail to join our account management team. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining long-term relationships with a portfolio of customers and with projects varying in size and detail. In this role, you will function as a liaison between the customer and our operations team to ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs. This role is best suited for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and goal-driven. Above all else, strong customer service skills are a must.


  • Be the primary point of contact and build long-term relationships with customers
  • Meet with customers monthly to maintain a positive relationship
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customers, building engineers, and property managers
  • Monitor and analyze customer’s needs, proactively make recommendations, and seek new opportunities for ways to serve our customers
  • Responsible for working with administrators to onboard and integrate new customers as well as update existing customer information
  • Perform site surveys for teammates and customers on an as-needed basis
  • Includes estimating, tracking monthly sales numbers, and new business proposals
  • Includes a quota/pipeline management of sales through the existing base


  • The ideal candidate should have previous customer service experience
  • Must have a satisfactory driving record, criminal record, and ability to pass a drug screen
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed to build customer relationships
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Must be able to climb ladders and be comfortable with working in outdoor conditions
  • Must have flexible scheduling to accommodate some evening events
  • Must stay in consistent communication with the current customer base
    • Approximately 2-6 in-person visits per week
    • Continuous email conversations and phone conversations
  • Must be willing to collaborate with our great team and have fun while at work
  • Attend multiple networking / events per month after normal business hours
  • Be a contributing member of various business organizations
